Computer & Hand-Drawn Graphic Arts by Ted Anthony Roberts!! Over 15 Years Experience in Art Layout and Design!!
Hello friends, my name is Ted Anthony Roberts (Artist and Author); I am the writer, editor and designer of The Swashbuckling Press, of which most of you know me from, which is an online ADVENTURE that awaits the lover of Swashbuckling!!
However, my day job is being an Artist and Writer. My art samples can be seen in three different areas: Ted's MYSPACE PAGE, My ONLINE PORTFOLIO, or you can just simply keep scrolling down!
WHAT IS A COLLAGE?
In an attempt to get people interested in looking at ~ YOU ~ and what you are doing, it is of necessity for one to have that special look that represents them!! Or, if you are into sending out your information to others, first impressions are very important, so you want people to see, in a quick instance, some things that are YOU, while making yourself look professional at the same time!!
I can help you to achieve that goal . . . .
Collages are "expansions" of your personal "Logo," which encloses it with expressive art! Best of all - they are inexpensive!
Here are some Collage examples (an explanation of "Budget Design," "Medium Complex Design," and "Complex Design" will be discussed shortly):
COMPLEX DESIGN

Here's a Collage that I did for my Swashbuckling Website. As you can see, I used images to surround my logo, and added verbage or tagline which actually expresses my website more than my logo alone could have.

And what about those "small" Collages, usually called "Banners?"

Here is my pricing chart:
Of course, the lower the cost, the less time work is done on a design - so, the more complex the design, the more the price increases. You will have to give me an idea of exactly what you are wanting, then I can give you a price before I even begin work on the project. Basically, you are paying for my time to make these designs, rather than actually paying for the finished product. Above I have listed which projects were BUDGET, MEDIUM and COMPLEX, so you can see how they fit on the following price chart:
Prices DO NOT iclude "Logo Designs." Logo Designs will be discussed further down.
BUDGET DESIGN = with a Professional Look that is accomplished within one to two hours of work = $30
MEDIUM COMPLEX DESIGN = Professional Look that may take up to four hours of work = $60
COMPLEX DESIGN = Professional look that could take more than four hours of work = $100
INCREASED COST = When further designs or increased designs are needed that were not initially discussed or agreed upon. Price increases will be discussed before pursued.
FREE ESTIMATES are given before any job has started.
But don't let the word "Budget" fool you, however, this is still a professional look that you could pay hundreds of dollars for elsewhere!!
If you wish to order a Collage, email me some details of what you are needing, and when a price is agreed upon, I will set you up with a paypal button so you can securely pay for your order.
Do you have to have a Logo in order to have a collage? Of course not! Even if you have a certain product to advertise or present, a Collage can work for you! And what exactly can you showcase?
A Published Book Cover
A new Music CD Cover
A Short Poem

More Additional Faqs and Information:
What exactly am I paying for? And when do I pay? While it is true that you are paying for artwork to be designed, I actually am charging my customers for "my time" to design the artwork - and not the artwork itself. I desire for my customers to pay the agreed upon fees up-front before any designing begins. I apologize for any complications this may cause, but for various reasons I have decided to do the payment program this way.
When will I receive my artwork, and how will I get it? Art designs usually take a day or two to get back to you, and a week in worse case scenarios - you will be informed at the time of purchase of about how long to expect. The time involved in actual design, of course, will depend upon how complex the design is, and how much it needs to go back into revisions. Your first draft, however, usually comes back pretty quickly. I can email the artwork to my customers in a variety of formats, but Jpeg (Which is most common for the internet) will be sent to you unless otherwise requested. Also, please specify if these graphics are for an internet page, or for printing - the size of the file will depend upon this. Internet files are usually 72 dpi (dots per inch), but files for printing usually go a lot higher - anywhere from 300 to 600 dpi, depending upon the project. I can also save the formats in Tiff, Eps, Gif, and a few others. Also, CD's can be burned and mailed to the customer at a $5 additional charge.
How do I get started? What must I do? Simply email me with your requests to: teds_art_studio@yahoo.com and I will email a quote and estimated time to get the art back to you. Once an amount has been agreed upon, I will then set up a pay-pal button for you to pay by.
How do you pay? This can be done several ways: Again, by Paypal, or you can even mail me a check. If Paypal, then I will email you the information on how to use this secure paying service. Or, if you mail a check, you will have to wait an additional period while the check clears in my bank before production can begin, though that should not be a long period of time. I will also send you details about check paying as well. But bounced-checks, however, are subject to additonal fees.
What if I don't like the artwork that was created, and I already paid for it? As it is true that as you are paying for "my services" to design, as just explained, and not for the artwork itself, then it goes without saying that I cannot give a customer their money back. However, I DO guarantee that I give professional attention to all artwork that I do - whether it is "budget" or "complex". What this means is that if you are not satisfied, then I will re-work the design until you are satisfied. However, in some cases there may require additional fees, and if this is the case, then I will require those additional fees to be paid up-front as well before more additions continue. Basically, I give the customer up to "one major change" on the design, "three medium changes," and "six minor changes" before I even decide to charge any additional fees. I will show you how this works . . . .
WITH THE ORIGINAL FEE, YOU GET:
1 MAJOR CHANGE
You just didn't like the final outlook, it just doen't match you. Yes, that is an actual re-design!!
3 MEDIUM CHANGES
You like the direction the art is going, but there could stand to be some medium changes before it is perfect.
6 MINOR CHANGES
Could you move this over here? Move that over there? And move these next to the red ones?
Any other changes than these will require additional fees.
Is the artist (Ted Roberts) really a professional Designer? I have been a Graphic Artist / Designer for over 15 years. I live in the Houston, Texas area, and I have worked for various Print Shops (Pre-Press). At several of these jobs I have been the manager of the Graphics Department, being over anywhere from 1 to 8 employees - depending on which shop I was working at. I have designed many, many things that are not displayed on this website. In my many years I have designed Bill Board signs, Brochures, Catalogs, Company Logos, Stationery (Business Cards, Letterhead, Envelope), Wedding Programs, Typed and Edited Resumes, High School Football Programs, Company Forms, Drawn Wall Murals for School Classrooms, Signs, and much, much more!
Of course, the final say-so is my artwork itself. You have to be the final judge from what has been displayed on my website whether it is professional to you or not.
