Rafael Sabatini's classic Swashbuckler! "He was born with a gift of laughter, and a sense that the world was mad!" One of the best Swashbuckler's ever made has Granger as a non-caring actor who, after the murder of his best friend, turns into a very caring man! He then studies fencing, and what comes of this is one of Hollywood's longest duels on the silver screen - excellent!!!! You just have to see this one.

Another Rafael Sabatini classic Swashbuckler! Errol Flynn is a Sea Captain for Elizabeth I. in England who Privateers for her. In a scheme to rob a Spanish mule train in the America's, Flynn's plan is discovered and he is captured. Managing to escape, he is able to get back to England and uncover the traitor!! Excellent old-time Swashbuckler - it's got all the trimmings!!!!

THE THREE MUSKETEERS 1970's (****)
starring Michael York.
A great Swashbuckling and Comical flick! Based upon the novel by Alexandre Dumas, this will please any Swashbuckling fan! This is only half the book, however. The story continues in The Four Musketeers, starring the same cast. Also, and I found this interesting, the same cast filmed another version of the Musketeers' story twenty years after these two, called The Return of the Musketeers, and it is based upon Dumas' sequel called: Twenty Years After. I thought that was neat!

This one surprised me. I didn't imagine Brad Pitt as to being the Swashbuckling type, but - hey! - he did an excellent job!! I loved this movie, and I reccomend it to all Swashbuckling lovers everywhere. My favorite scene is at the beginning when Brad took that large soldier out with one stroke! That was awesome!!
